Levels of Care Available: PHP, IOP, and Comprehensive Outpatient Services

Intensive Outpatient (IOP): 
This program consists of 2 1/2 to 3 hours of treatment per day, 3 to 5 days per week.  The IOP meets Monday-Friday from 9 am to noon.  This program consists of a combination of supportive counseling, coping skills training, and expressive therapy.  In addition, participants receive psychiatry services, 7 day crisis support services up to 10 pm, and case management.  This level of care is appropriate for people stepping down from PHP, or those who are receiving traditional forms of outpatient therapy with little therapeutic relief.  The average length of stay in IOP is 17 days spread over 4 to 6 weeks.  Individual therapy and a weekly  coping skills group often acts as a step down from this level of care. 

After-Care Services: 
A weekly coping skills group is available on Thursdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. or on Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30 p.m.  The groups are designed to supplement individual therapy and teach skills in 4 areas;  Mindfulness Skills Interpersonal effectiveness Skills, Emotion Regulation Skills, and Distress Tolerance Skills.


Psychiatric Evaluation and Medication Management:
Psychiatric evaluation and medication management will be available to all of our patients. Because our goal is to be a comprehensive treatment program, we will not be providing medication management as a single service without concurrent therapy at our center.

Individual Therapy:
The clinicians at the Crossroads Program can help identify cognitive and behavioral interventions that will alleviate symptoms and enhance wellness. For some individuals, psychotherapy may be all that is needed. For others, it can be used along with the medication that the doctor prescribes.

Couples Counseling:
The myriad of emotions that accompany mental health issues such as depression, trauma, eating disorders, borderline personality disorder, and anxiety disorders significantly impacts relationships. The clinicians at the Crossroads Program can help you strengthen your skills and build a foundation which can sustain and support your partnership.

Group Therapy:
Group therapy provides opportunities to learn from and share with others experiencing similar struggles. We currently have several DBT coping skills groups, a supportive counseling group and a substance abuse recovery group.
